Many new users wonder what tripcodes are and how one can use them. The answer is really simple.
A tripcode is the hashed result of a password that allows one's identity to be recognized without storing any data about users.
Since drrr.com is an anonymous chat, sometimes it's difficult to know whether or not you're talking to the "real" person. This is where tripcodes come in handy. Users can use tripcodes as a way to identify themsevles. Other users can simply look at your tripcode and immediately know it's you.
In order to find out someone's tripcode, simply click on their username in the chat.
Users with tripcodes have yellow names in the userlist of a room.
In order to get a tripcode yourself, when logging in, simply put a "#" symbol behind your username and enter a random "password" (but make sure to remember it!) behind your name. This password will be used to calculate your tripcode using an algorithm.
NEVER TELL ANYONE YOUR PASSWORD, otherwise they will be able to impersonate you.
If the website gives you the error "Your tripcode is too simple", try to make your password longer and try adding numbers to it.
Custom Tripcodes:
Custom tripcodes are tripcodes with words or phrases in them. These tripcodes were generated using certain programs such as "Tripcode Explorer". Finding any word longer than 6 characters will take ages.
Do not use NSFW terms in your tripcodes, this will immediately result in a ban!
