Many new users wonder how one can share music files in chatrooms. The answer is really simple.
First of all, you can't share music in every room. You can only share songs in rooms where the feature is activated. This is indicated by a music note icon next to a room's name in the lounge.
In case you're creating your own room, make sure to tick the "Audio Sharing" box on room creation.
Now, if you wanna share music, simply click on the music note symbol in the top section of your screen
Enter the music title in the field where it says "Sound Title" and the URL to the audio file in the field where it says "URL"
After you've done that, simply click on the "Play!" button. However, make sure no other song is currently playing, it's considered bad manner to "cut" already playing songs.
Make sure your URLs end with .mp3, otherwise the songs will not play. YouTube URLS DO NOT WORK!
How to share songs from YouTube:
If you want to share songs from YouTube, you have to convert them into MP3 files using your favorite converter and upload the file to your preferred filehost that automatically provides you with .mp3 URLs e.g.: https://catbox.moe/
This converter automatically converts your videos and provides you with the .mp3 URL. However, it will only work with videos that aren't longer than 5 minutes.
